MOTIONS TO BE AMENDED

1  Article IV: Section 3.  Quorum:  The quorum for any meeting of this Local, either special or regular, shall be ten percent (10%) of
the members in good standing.

 

           Section 3.  Quorum:  The quorum for any meeting of this Local, either special or     regular, shall be 9 of the members in good standing.

 

2.       Article VI: Section 2.  The Vice-Presidents shall assist the Presi­dent in such a manner as the President may determine. One chapter Vice-President may be elected by the Executive Board to serve as Executive Vice-President.  In the absence of the President, the Executive Vice-President shall preside at meetings of the Local and of the Executive Board.  If the office of President becomes vacant, the Executive Vice-President shall be acting President until the office of President is filled by election of the Executive Board. The Vice-Presidents, by virtue of their election, shall be delegates of this Local to the convention of the P.F.F.A.

 

 Section 2.  The Vice-Presidents shall assist the Presi­dent in such a manner as the President may determine. One chapter Vice-President may be elected by the Executive Board to serve as Executive Vice-President.  In the absence of the President, the Executive Vice-President shall preside at meetings of the Local and of the Executive Board.  If the office of President becomes vacant, the Executive Vice-President shall be acting President until the office of President is filled by election of the Executive Board. The Executive Vice-President, by virtue of their election, shall be delegate of this Local to the convention of the International and P.F.F.A. The Vice-Presidents, by virtue of their election, shall be delegates of this Local to the convention of the P.F.F.A.

 

3.       Article VII: Section 1.  If, in accordance with Article IV, Section 2 of the International Constitution and By-Laws, this Local is entitled to Delegates in addition to the President, they shall be elected by secret ballot of the members in good standing.

 

Section 1.  If, in accordance with Article IV, Section 2 of the International Constitution and By-Laws, this Local is entitled to Delegates in addition to the President and Executive Vice-President, they shall be elected by secret ballot of the members in good standing.

 

4.       Article IV: Section 1.  The regular meetings of this Local shall be held as determined by the Executive Board and shall consist of one session. Meeting time shall be at 1900 hrs. at a place selected by the Executive Board unless otherwise directed by the member­ship. The Executive Board may change the time and place of a meeting. When in the opinion of the Executive Board, insuffi­cient business exist to warrant cancellation of a regular meeting, a majority of the Executive Board may do so.

 

No Change needed just to vote for every other month at same location.

5.  Article VIII: Section 7.  Legal Defense Fund:   A fund which is intended to be used to provide assets for the Local to defend it's actions and policies, and for the security of firefighters may be maintained. This fund is not intended to be used by one member against another. The fund is accessed for the use of the Local by 2/3 majority vote of the members at a regular or special meeting. The fund is accessed by individual members as follows:

1) A member or his/her representative shall petition the membership at a regular or special meeting for access to the fund.

2) The President shall investigate the justification and rationale for the request or a committee appointed by the President.

3) The committee or President will report its findings at a regular or special meeting.

4) Any member may recommend a modification of the request.

5) Requests are approved, disapproved, or modified by 2/3 majority vote of the members present at the meeting.

 

      Section 7.  Legal Defense Fund:   A fund which is intended to be used to provide assets for the Local to defend its actions and policies and for the security of fire fighters shall be maintained. This fund shall be used to protect fire fighter jobs and to secure living wages, benefits, and workplace conditions. This fund is not intended to be used for charitable donations or to obtain lawyer fees for private use such as WorkmanÕs Compensation claims or PRPRS funds. This fund is not intended to be used by one member against another. The fund is accessed for the use of the Local by 2/3 majority vote of the members at a regular or special meeting. The fund is accessed by individual members as follows:
